Description Photocopy of a newspaper article dated 18 October 1962 entitled North Cornwall Quarries Busy as Granite Returns to Fashion. New trend in architecture is to clothe concrete structures with a granite facing. New plant is being installed including a crane, a combined crushing and screening plant, wire saws, an excavator crane and a modern diamond saw. New contracts described. Names include : HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Steel Mill at Llanwern, Newport, Richard Thomas and Baldwin's Spencer Steelworks, Severn Bridge, National Library of Wales, London County Hall, Crest House on Barbican Estate, Epsom Police Station, Thomas Coram Memorial in London, Lloyds Bank in Birmingham, Shakespeare Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon, General Accident Insurance Building in Cardiff, Wellington Barracks in London, Swiss Bank Corporation in London, Samuel Plimsoll Memorial in London, Wadebridge Bridge, Park Lane, London Improvement Scheme.
