Description Photocopy of an article in the Illustrated London News dated 29 September 1945, showing a series of photographs depicting the construction of the Ladybower Reservoir, Derwent Valley, near Sheffield, after it was opened by His Majesty King George VI on Tuesday 25 September 1945. Stonemasons from De Lank were conscripted during the war years to assist in its construction. Names include : Derwent Hall, Derwent Village Church Spire, The Packhorse Bridge, The Ashopton Viaduct, Overflow Shafts. Document associated with ms in SBR 8-5.
